Quite a story and very nice snowy picture. Probably not too often you get to shoot scenes like this in London, so nice to see it here.
I guess life seemed pretty ordinary after the War ended. It's OK to talk to dead pilots but when they begin to speak you...
He doesn't seem to be letting the cold and snow bother him in this incarnation.

I agree with /t. about the photo and the chick business. Dowding was a monstrous man in my books. But monstrous men are sometimes needed.
The weather is an appropriate accompaniment. Lovely image.
