Men at Work # 5

Trying to catch the tube anywhere on the weekend is like going to the moon. Why oh why is every line closed or partially closed for 'planned engineering works'.
Last Sunday night I actually saw planned engineering works. It does really happen.
These guys were working around the clock to get a new pedestrian over bridge in at Farringdon Station, ready for Monday morning.

What do you do when the tub is closed? Do you take a bus?

What a pain that must be! Hopefully they will get things in tip top shape real soon.

BEAUTIFUL!

i don't know how
you've got that grid-like
thing going in the foreground

it parallels other elements in the image -- nice design(!) -- color, too -- very nice

Here in Paris most tube / subway / metro works take place during the night - when it's closed, but it means of course that the job takes years - and probably costs a fortune. Anyhow, it's probably a reasonable solution.

Quite interesting to see this work in progress. I certainly wish we had this type of subway system.

It's that way in New York at times. Wow, viewing your pictures makes me want to move to London too! You are getting the best of London with your camera!
