Thirty pianos have been installed around the streets of London with 'play me I'm yours' written on them. Yesterday even the rain didn't deter players. Such a brilliant idea. I've heard all sorts of music played. Strangers are chatting to one another, some dance and others sing. Their final day on the streets is today, then they will be donated to schools and community groups. Let's hope the magic continues.

What an wonderful idea. I could have spent hours listening to everyone play. Your city is always amazing me. Wish I could get there more often but it's so great that I can visit you everyday with your wonderful pics. Keep up the brilliant work!

ReplyDeleteI've been amazed how well these pianos are surviving so well on London streets. Nearly all I pass are being played every day. How fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the best ideas I've seen around the city. Reading a pamphlet on it before the project started I rather cynically dismissed the idea that it might have any impact on strangers interacting, but, as always, I've been proven wrong. Well done London!
