Play Me I'm Yours

Thirty pianos have been installed around the streets of London with 'play me I'm yours' written on them. Yesterday even the rain didn't deter players.
Such a brilliant idea. I've heard all sorts of music played. Strangers are chatting to one another, some dance and others sing. Their final day on the streets is today, then they will be donated to schools and community groups. Let's hope the magic continues.

  1. I hope the weather improves for you. We had blue skies & sun here - just to rub it in (typical Oz winter!!)

Ok, to put a cool pianos around the city and let what will happen just happen just proves there is goodness and harmony (literally) in the world!

  19. What a fabulous idea!

Unfortunately we can't do that here where I live. They would probably end up missing. But the real truth is, I don't know if anyone would know what to do with them...

  20. Great idea, but a question: will the pianos withstand sitting in rain, possibly for days?

  24. I've been amazed how well these pianos are surviving so well on London streets. Nearly all I pass are being played every day. How fabulous.

  25. This is one of the best ideas I've seen around the city. Reading a pamphlet on it before the project started I rather cynically dismissed the idea that it might have any impact on strangers interacting, but, as always, I've been proven wrong. Well done London!

  26. I didn't get to see any of these, but I thought the idea was truly wonderful, and inspiring in a way that things in London seldom are.
