To market, to market to buy a fat pig; Home again, home again, jiggety-jig. To market, to market, to buy a fat hog; Home again, home again, jiggety-jog.
To market, to market, to buy a plum cake; Home again, home again, market is late. To market, to market, to buy a plum bun; Home again, home again, market is done.
To market, to market, a gallop a trot, To buy some meat to put in the pot; Three pence a quarter, a groat a side,If it hadn't been killed it must have died.
OMG - I was just thinking the very same ditty that ANGIE posted before me! We often say, "home again, home again, jiggety-jig" when we pull into the garage with our car! Nice snap, Mo!
When I was 16 I used to hang out with these guys on Inverness street in Camden. They would get up at 5am to set up and would spend all day there - well until it was time for a pint...

Nice snap, Mo!
Check out Borough Market too - that place is amazing.
I like that there are people in the world who still do things the old fashioned way.
That´s cool!!!

He seems to be missing his horse!
I loved Angie's little poem. I don't think I've heard that recited since I was a kid. Nice memories!
Hi Mo,
Funny that there are still people doing this in the traditional way. It's nice. Brings back lots of memories in my mind.
Best regards
Asta
love the 2 girlies gossiping in the background.
Not many people can do it like this anymore.
I love old-fashioned street markets! I like wandering among the stalls and I always end buying something I don't actually need. Lovely pic!
now thats work!
Lady behind the cart looks a little like Her Majesty!
Wine Noter
Just change the clothes and surroundings and you could be in the Middle Ages! Great find!
I guess you have to be determined to go off to market with a cart like that :)
Nice shot and poem !
I'm rather jealous of the way you are able to produce non-stop, accurate and atmospheric pictures of London!
