Most telephone boxes in London will have sex calling cards such as these covering the walls. Recently discussions have been around a 'clean-up' before the 2012 Olympics, police and local authorities concerned that tourists will think the city is full of sex booths rather than a telephone to call home.Apologies for no posting the past couple of days. No Internet. BT advised a damaged server was the cause of our area having no communication.
Well, at least the cards stay in style: the Union Flag, the sign for the Underground...

ReplyDeleteThat's funny. When I was in London last year, I wanted to get a picture of my son in one of those classic red telephone boxes. Of course he had to go inside, I quickly ushered him out once I saw what was posted in there!

ReplyDeleteMost telephone boxes in London are grimy and stink of pee. I had to use one in Aldwych the other day - not an experience I'm likely to repeat in a hurry.
