"Lords" is considered to be the home of cricket (yes in all the world) and it's "spiritual headquarters". It is owned by the Marylebone Cricket Club who have the role as the guardians of both the laws and the spirit of cricket. A big responsibility given how deeply ingrained both cricket and Lords are in the British psyche. Nice touch with the living gardens being developed on the outside - modernisation Lords style!

Pretty impressive outside view of the 'club' have to say Australians are pretty serious about their cricket too!!
it look massive!
What no strawberries growing! Just not cricket, old boy.
Emm, that isn't Lord's, it is the the back of the Vauxhall end stand at the Oval (Surrey County Cricket Club). Still a cool photo though.
'British' psyche? 'English' psyche I think. 'Play up,play up and play the game' a mural at Lord's declares, except when cheating of course...
Interesting gardens on the outside. I must admit, I know nothing about Cricket.
I love the idea of growing a garden on the wall! We should do that with some of the buildings in Montreal!
That's so fashionable now, isn't it? It's a great concept... maybe one day part of our meal will come our own wall garden. Great find MO.
Hello from Montreal!
It is a pretty unusual wall, or at least there are no walls like this around here. In greater Hartford the only people who play cricket are small numbers of immigrants from places like Jamaica or India. It is hard to find the places where they play.
Nice shot!
Looks as though it has been attached by the black plague!!
oops!
mightyhansa, you are absolutley right. Shows how much I know about cricket. it is the Oval. I thought they were the same thing. Promise I'll go and take a picture of Lords for you all to see.
