Emm: these are just behind Centre Point. It is hoped that this building with its ground level pedestrian routes, plus the redevelopment of Tottenham Court Road station in readiness for Crossrail, will make the St Giles area a more obvious connecting point between Bloomsbury, Soho and Covent Garden. The coloured panels are glazed ceramic, so the colours will not fade. They certainly stick out when flying over central London. (Architect is Renzo Piano, who also gave us The Shard.)
