Just enough rain to be annoying, especially when I didn't have a brolly. However it was not enough to make a difference to the water levels. We are officially in a drought. Something I've never got used to here, is the first sign of water restrictions and the papers are telling you to reduce bath and showers. No. I want to be clean. I don't get it. Maybe a Brit can explain why bathing is the first thing everyone wants to give up.

Brollys ought to be banned!
In the south east drought does indeed occur and the water levels do suffer. We waste vast quantities of water in the UK and it shows in the south which has little of its own. You are not stealing Scotland's however!
LOL, yes that happens in England.
Love it Mo. Beautiful shot.
i really enjoy this photo!
I cannot even imagine the UK in a drought situation, you just wouldn't think it gets hot enough to cause a problem and it seems to rain rather a lot. We have serious water restriction in Oz, 3 minute showers etc but our temps in summer are like weeks and weeks of over 33C and no rain at all!
Wow, drought in England is not something I would think could happen. However, your rain shot is quite lovely.
Lovely shot, great colors.. i did not know there could be a drought in UK..
I would never have thought of drought there either!
The English garden blogs I read are slowly adapting to mediterranean plants, and yes, if your dams are low, you need to adapt to using less water. Makes me think of Third World women who carry water home from the river, and keep family and clothes clean.
Drought happens in Montreal sometimes in the summer, but not too bad usually. We don't have to cut back on showers and baths, just on watering our lawns and gardens!
My mental image of the UK is nearly continuous drizzle. Drought seems so far from the norm.
neat shot!
