A huge amount of money in the 1920's The interior is even more impressive which you can see on one of their weekday tours. They even take you into the inner temple.

The Freemasons Hall between Holborn and Covent Garden is more like a palace than a hall. Built in art deco style as a memorial to the masons who died in WWI, at the cost of £1million. A huge amount of money in the 1920's The interior is even more impressive which you can see on one of their weekday tours. They even take you into the inner temple.
Stunning building. I'm always intrigued by the Freemasons.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder of where my leg was broken. The car crashing into Drury lane! I did notice the Hall moments before we failed to notice the 'Give Way' sign!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in London I have seen this building a lot of times. But I didn't know that it's Freemasons Hall and I couldn't even imagine that they have weekday tours there. Impressive!
