The abandoned Heygate Estate where the annual elefest annual creative festival took place over the weekend. Waltzing in the old playground while a zombie film being shot in the background seemed rather fitting for this controversial estate.
Yeah fun for all arty types in an estate that is not actually abandoned but has several people still living there without heating and hot water fighting for a decent offer of compensation for their long term homes. This artist safari seems to be oblivious to the long struggles of Heygate tenants. Why is the estate nearly empty? Why is that?
