A modern sculpture that sits outside the entrance to Wembley Park Station. Can anyone tell me the history behind this work? I've been unable to come up with any facts about the piece.
Sharon came over for dinner last evening and showed us some photos of her trip and told us more of her delightful visit, and the day with you that was the highlight.
Wow, I really tried to rise to the challenge but came up empty handed. The best I came up with is that it is a modernist imagining of a field athlete which makes more sense to me than Dave's link above but who knows!?
DOubt you will ever know, who is the sculpture? Thanks for linking Sharons blog, I started following her's as well.

ReplyDeleteObviously meant something to the artist.
ReplyDeleteWish I knew, I love the energy of it.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I was hoping someone above had the details. I like it and would like to know more.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Town and Country planning department could shed light on it.
ReplyDeleteThis tells you about the sculpture.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good setting for it.
ReplyDeleteNo idea. I'd rather walk into a museum and see real art and sculptures!
