Tributes to the greatest man in our life time have started to arrive at the foot of his statue in Parliament Square. Front page news around the world. Leaders from all nations have praised him.
If only all the religious and political leaders of the world could exercise just half of Nelson Mandela's tolerance and sense of justice
He's a man that was respected by many. I agree with you about the world leaders. There is too much division in the world.
ReplyDeleteAsking for too much I suspect. Great loss.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true what you say but I'm afraid they are all Hypocrites especally ours
ReplyDeleteA nice tribute to an iconic man.
ReplyDeleteThe world has lost a great human. He achieved so much in his long life. His loss will be felt for a long time to come.
ReplyDeleteThe world needs a leader like him in the Middle East.
ReplyDeleteAnd in the U.S. Congress.
Lovely tribute - there will not be another like him for a long time, if ever. What a loss for the world. I wonder what the scene at the Southbank bust is like, probably as moving.
ReplyDeleteThis is sure to be a gathering place for people to pay their respects now. Good post for today.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tribute Mo. I minute I heard the news I thought about seeing this statue when you and I were driving our little Mini around London. I was wishing I had gotten a photo of it and wondering if people would bring flowers. I think I would have if I had been there.
ReplyDeleteAn extraordinary man. It wasn't unexpected, but still a profound loss. I admired him greatly.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of ways to pay tribute at my page... we don't have a statue of him here, but he was designated an honourary citizen.
Beautiful words and I feel like you, Mo.
ReplyDeleteThank you for showing London with flowers by Mandela!
The world is poorer without him!
Hugs, from Denmark,
Dorthe
