Nestled in lovely park gardens, the old St Luke's Church building is now a music centre for the London Symphony Orchestra. It is mainly used for rehearsals, recordings and a few performances.
The church was originally built in the 18th century with its rather unusual obelisk spire. It is on marshy land and so suffered a problems of subsidence. Building in the wrong area a not unfamilar problem in the UK.
I'm sure the orchestra must get a very unique sound playing inside the church.
