Quiet time in the city

Monday to Friday thousands pour into the city to work, during the weekend you can almost hear a pin drop it is so quiet.  A good time to see what has changed since my last wander around.  Look what I found - a rock tree nestled in amongst the surrounding towers.

I love the City on the weekend. I used to like it in the early mornings too, as long as there wasn't too much evidence of the previous evening's excesses.

That is quite an unusual find! When I visited London back in 2013 I explored the city on a weekend and you are so right, it's very, very quiet. This time I went during the week and it was so full of people scurrying here and there that it was a challenge to keep out of their way.

The tower at the end, the two people having a conversation and the shadows make it a wonderful image.

The same happens here on the weekends- especially in the morning. Very quiet in the core.
