Skywatch Friday - St Pauls

The skyline of St Pauls is probably one of the most photographed skylines anywhere.

See other skywatchers around the world.

This picture is beautiful. The colors of the sky and the buildings blend. The permanence of the structures contrast with the changing skies. Love it.

Indeed, and one of the most famous images of the St. Paul's skyline is that one taken during the blitz in World War II, the dome of St. Paul's rising proudly, defiantly above the smoke and fire resulting from the fall of Nazi bombs on London.

Very moody clouds. I bet they dropped quite a number of raindrops as they passed over.

Seems like its floodwatch time again, according to the weathermen.

It is such an iconc skyline.Good to see the skyline as it really is too overcast, grey with an optomistic light. That really is London

I remember reading Daniel Defoe's description of first seeing the dome of St Pauls against the skyline.

Much changed in 300 years but the magic is still there.

And it's a very beautiful one. And very recognizable. Nice shot. Where did you take it from?
