Mid-Month Subway - Orientation

When you pop up from the tube it can be difficult to find your bearings. Some of the tube stations have really helpful maps that help you work out where you are.

subway day is a mid-month theme shared by the following blogs:
Budapest - London - New York City - Paris - Stockholm - Sydney

The answer to yesterdays quiz was that Christian Lacroix did NOT design the uniforms. I know they look just like the bling he would design, but really a French designer for British uniforms. That would create another 100 year war.

Those are pretty useful. Coming up from the underground most of us wouldn't have any sense of direction even if we knew something about the geography of our destination.

Happy subway day !

So many of the subway maps that I have seen (well London, Paris and Sydney) as so incredibly similar in style. It's as though they are all thumbing the same user manual.

Not sure that our stations locate you in the maze of streets above though. That WOULD be useful.

Have a great day, Mo.

I have never been on a subway below ground. It might be an interesting experience but I don't think I would want to come back or be reincarnated to try it. LOL

Always found it easy to get around with the directions the Tube offered.

Love your photos, Mo. They are always so real and at the same time so original. Have you ever thought of putting together a photo album with all your shot? Ciao. A.

Ofthen the underground is the best way to find your way, even more so if helped by good maps. (... and now my phone has got a GPS!)

Good joke about Christian Lacroix!

The directions in the Tube is far better than most I've seen around Europe. But I too have lost all sense of bearing coming up to the top world and walking the wrong way down the street, having to backtrack a bit:-)

I often find that subway maps are a bit confusing. I got lost in Tokyo subway once and quite a few times in NYC.

Thanks for the anniversary wish, Mo.

Hi Mo, happy subway day!

I can see the wondering and figuring of the man, even though I can't see his face - great moment!
