Men at Work #20

A blacksmith in action!
Shrinking, bending, upsetting, punching, sounds like you are a tad upset with some-one doesn't it, but actually these are blacksmith's techniques.
A craft dating back to the iron age is alive and well in 21st century London.

Here you are seeing Will creating pieces that will feature in a Soho restaurant.

Not only does he create quality decorative ironwork, he also teaches you how to do it. Fancy your own hand forged coat hook? Will's your man.
Check him out at Will Barker Design.

Oh I do like to see a guy with sparkle! Great design. (My ancestors came from Brentford.)

The craft was expanding here prior to the economic collapse. A lot of very fancy gates and such.

Beautiful action shot, you really capture his concentration and I can almost hear those sparks sizzling

He has a real nice site and some good work. A day at his forge would be good.

It is nice to see that people still study and do trades these days... better allow Will rather to do this... I wouldnt want to affect his ability to earn an income :)! Ok so he teaches me to do it... nope, still think that I would become exceptionally good to his detriment.... look dangerous.....

I'm with Jenny. Snapping people in action - so difficult, so very well done.

Great shot of the sparks! It's a good thing he's wearing protective goggles!

Cool shot of Will in action. I know a blacksmith, but he is more into the Viking era.
