Last Days

Only a few days left now until polling day next Thursday.

Passing through King's Cross station in a whirl of security and paparazzi last night there was clearly a "no entering into discussion with the public" caveat on Gordon Brown. This is obviously for fear of repeating the "that woman" comments that have almost scuppered any chance of re-election for the labour party - well according to the media anyway which is full of it. So the 'ordinary woman' who just happened to be waiting at the station last night (to meet someone arriving on the same train I assume) was no doubt surprised in having to make do with a simple "Hello nice to meet you" as Gordon whizzed by with Sarah.

If the polls are right then come next Friday Gordon will have much more time to spend chatting with the ordinary people - well at least the ordinary people moving his furniture out of 10 Downing street on that day.

Great capture - well done!
I should think Gordon is under strict instructions to keep his thoughts to himself unless he's absolutely sure he's not going to be overheard. On Friday the winner will be buoyed up with euphoria but the other contenders will feel like wrung-out dishcloths.

Yes, this is quite a good picture!! You should sell it to his PR office, and I mean that!:-) (If they have not all been fired.) Anyway, over here all newspapers have plenty of stuff with him and Gillian.
He looks happy, relaxed and 10 years younger in this shot!-)

I often wonder how those "open mike" gaffs occur. Wouldn't you think that after so many of these overheard comments that people would be more careful? But then again...it's great entertainment.

We've been reading a lot about the "dark horse" in the race. Should be interesting to see the results.

I'm not a fan of his but the bigot thing has been blown out of proportion. I think people don't really know what bigot is, it's not an insult any way and "that woman" was a bigot!

I will be glad to see the back of Brown, but I sure as hell don't look forward to Cameron and his Conservative goons taking over. But from past experiences I know how wrong the polls can be....

And in respones to he is looking old comment, he is 59 and I personally think he looks nae too bad for his age.

I think I understand why folks are upset with Labour. But do people really want to go back to a Tory government? I have only two words to say to them: Maggie Thatcher. Good luck.
