Steaming out of Kings Cross

Yesterday morning the Bittern departed from Kings Cross station. A rare sight from a train that retired in 1967.

A brief post as I am racing to catch a plane. Over the next couple of weeks I may not have time to visit you but will do my best to leave you a picture.

Great pic. And I saw on the BBC news last week that some guy over there almost got run over by a train while train spotting.

Love the picture!

Though, I noticed that there are flowers next to the tracks and also the rails have wooden sleepers under them (which many places have replaced with concrete haven't they?) so I'm assuming this is one set of tracks that isn't used as much?

always nice to see a steam train in action. I think this is the one that Jeremy Clarkson worked on when he was racing Captain slow and the Hamster on Top Gear.
