Real Ale Trail

What better way to spend a cold rainy day than to follow the Real Ale Trail. The DLR (Docklands Light Rail) and the Good Pub Guide have teamed up to put together a couple of trails in London's East End . Classic old English Pubs and Real Ale.
Yesterday I checked out a couple of pubs on the trail. It'll take me a few days to fit them all in!
Check out the promotion as you could be in with a chance to win a brewery tour and a meal at the old Brewery.

Aah - one of the things we love most about England - the beer! We once based a whole holiday on the Good Pub Guide to Great Britain. It was a mine of information and fun places to go.

I've heard something about this. Perhaps over Christmas while I am there I shall start this trail. There's a good one in Boston too!

Here, we call them "Pub Crawls" for obvious reasons.

Ah yes, pubs are the ideal place to be on a cold, rainy evening. They always have such a warm, homey feel to them :o)

I love old pubs, but one thing that doesn't do it for me is Real Ale.
