Crimes Against Women

A new reminder that this was the area where the infamous Jack the Ripper murders took place.

Never solved, it still baffles those who investigate the events in Victorian London.

I nearly missed this small work that sits at footpath level and is about 6 inches high.
Crimes against women are making headlines around the world again at present. The ex-head of the IMF and the British Minister of Justice who seems confused as to what rape is.

I loved reading Jack the Ripper books. Pity there was no DNA analysis back then. I'm sure they would've found him quick-quick!

He seems to have had issues like that for most of his career.

Interesting street art.

This is very cleverly created. I had to make it bigger to actually see the shadow was painted on the ground in front of it.

The work looks almost real. I wasn't sure what it was. Thought that you did some photoshop work until I read your explanation.

Those two prominent figures should get what they deserve.

How amazing that someone hasnt trodden on it. Many South African men are also a little confused about what rape is - and the sad thing is that many women accept it as their lot in life. I heard it from the lips of a university student who said that "In my culture, it is not done to say no to a man." This from an initelligent black lass about 6 years ago. Sent chills down my spine.

I love Jack the Ripper lore! Well, of course, it is all true but I love the ways it has found its way into so many books and stories. I personal agree with Michael Dibdin - Sherlock Holmes did it.

an amazing find. I went on a Jack the Ripper walk back in the 90s. It was still spooky. Yes, the IMF boss. We have our problems in the US, such as the slowness in prosecuting the Wall Street felons who destroyed our economy, but abuse of women in any capacity can land anyone of any status in jail here.

You have a very good eye to have captured that!
