Regent Street was given over to vintage and veteran cars on Saturday giving us the opportunity to examine them up close and even take a ride. Sunday morning the vintage cars set off on their annual London to Brighton rally. Would have been rather cold for most of them.

Ah, the Golden Age of Motoring; if a little cold and wet. Lovely machines.
Ah I was hoping you'd been there. I would have liked to have seen this myself.
I always think of the wonderful film Genevieve from 1953 when I see one of these old motor cars.
Oooo. very lovely. I do love a vintage car!
Wonderful!
Oh what a sight to enjoy, and I agree, a warm coat, hat and scarf would have been the order of the day.
I would LOVE to take a ride in that! Gorgeous cars! :D
Now that looks like a fun thing to see.
Love these cars. Great image Mo.

Fantastic! I'd spotted that event but was otherwise engaged - you got some great shots there!
«Louis», being an old car buff, was delighted to see this!
I hadn't realised the race is still running. It's as much part of history as the cars are.
Great picture! These beauties are a far cry from the cars with have now with air conditioning systems, and parking assistance!
Hey, I remember this from last year :) I took lots of pics.

It was kinda surreal. :)
Oh, how stunning. I just love vintage cars! What an opportunity to see them up close too.
What a memorable rally for Regent Street! I wish our neighborhood held vintage cars rallies too. Also, most of my friends love vintage cars, especially the 1970 Chevy.
