Eisenhower Centre

Off Tottenham Court Road, this centre was an underground shelter during WWII. It also was used as part of Eisenhower's headquarters in London and D-Day communications centre with direct links to the Cabinet War Rooms.
Now it is used for security storage. Its recent paint job makes it stand out a bit more especially with that lovely sky scaffolding cover draped behind it.

Jeepers Mo, it's a little hard to concentrate on the building with that unbelievable sky in the background, fabulous.

Being a WWII buff, I was delighted to see this picture of a building used by Ike during the DDay invasion. I'm glad it's been kept up!

I thought that was the real sky at first! Wonderful building.

That was a rough place for years! How it needed treatment.

That sky is great indeed!

I wonder what sort of security they store in there? Maybe some weapons of mass destruction?
