November Theme Day - Heights

The City Daily Photo (CDP) community has decided the theme of today's photo is height.  My contribtion is a view from BT tower.  It is a difficult tower to get permission to enter so I was excited to be invited to an event last July.  Although it was a hazy day the view was still spectacular.  The easiest landmarks to pick out are the Shard to the right (the pointy pyramid building) and the cluster of tall buildings to the left include the gherkin, the cheese grater and the walkie scorchie.  All local nicknames for the city towers.

That is a great view. How high is the BT tower?

Wow, what a fabulous view! I was very sad not to be able to attend that event in July but if I recall correctly, it was during work when I'd already spent considerable time off work flying back to SA.

Never tried the BT Tower, I think it used to be easier. I remember when it opened, but that was before the terrorists closed so many things down. Nice shot

I was wondering what your choice might be :). This is a great one. Lucky you to get a chance to see that spectacular view in person.

I did a similar shot only taken from the Centrepoint Building. I guess that is it at the right of your pic. I love your view especially the British Museum!
