The Final Leg of our MINI Adventure

Yesterday someone commented that they hoped our adventure included green parts of London.  It sure did.  After we passed Buckingham Palace we took in Kensington Gardens and the massive tribute Queen Victoria made for her beloved Albert.

Lunch was now the priority.  The first place with a car park outside would be where we ate.  Just up the road on the edge of Hyde Park was a perfect place to stop outside the new restaurant "The Magazine", at the Serpentine gallery.  What a treat it was!  Plus … a friend to keep our MINI company while we ate.

Time for just one more stop before the MINI had to be handed back, so we headed over to Regents Park.

The sun was just catching the BT tower in the distance. Sadly our day was drawing to an close.  Oh but it was such fun.

If I ever travel to London I'll look you up and you can be my travel guide. :) That way I will get to see the real London.
PS: A scavenger hunt is a game, typically played in an extensive outdoor area, in which participants have to collect a number of miscellaneous objects.

Adding to Andy's information: The winner(s) of the game will be the person or group who manages successfully to find the most required objects. Looks like you and your lucky guest had an outstanding day. Hope you have a agreat week-end!

It looks like you had a fun day and the rain let up so that you could get some beautiful pictures to remember it by.

I don't believe I've ever heard of the Albert Memorial. It looks extraordinary!

Years ago I was treated to just such a sightseeing tour, in a tiny Fiat with the roof open, the better to see all the tall buildings!

What a fun day we had and that lunch was a special treat. I also loved how the sun was shining on the Albert Memorial and making it just glow.

Long time we drove up to London, we used to park up in Regents park like you and it was in a Mini (classic Cooper)with a Union Jack on the Roof

Great tour!
Shame about the rain.
The Albert memorial, which he would have hated, is situated where the 'Crystal Palace,' of 'Great Exhibition' fame was built.
