Dolls Never Die
Gérard Quenum was born in Benin in 1971. Like many contemporary African artists he works with recycled or discarded materials, combining them with natural materials such as wood and earth. Through his work he weaves stories of the history of Africa and the many cultures and generations who have lived and fought there.
"Dolls never die" is his current work showing at the October Gallery 20 September - 27 October.
