Crossing the Thames


Currently the wobbly wobbly bridge is the most popular way to walk across the Thames.  However there are plans to create a new garden bridge with over 200 species of trees and plants.  The plan is that it will span the river from Temple to Southbank (not far from this bridge) and be finished by 2017.  An artists view here:

The Bridge


Vaxhaull Bridge as it looks today.  This bridge was officially opened in 1906 which makes it one of London's historic bridges.

However there has been a bridge here for a lot longer than a mere century as the plaque on the shore tell us:
