Pointing a finger

Pointing a finger or pointing the finger can mean different things, depending on culture, race, creed and maybe your mood of the day.
What does it mean to you?
This finger? It belongs to Neptune, or at least I think that is who it is. He is pointing at the water below.
The statue is in front of the Royal Academy of Arts, in Piccadilly. Maybe someone can tell me more about it as I'm having difficulty finding any information.

Great picture. I love how everything else is out of focus. Fascinating!

I think I know the statue. I searched for both Neptune and Poseidon and couldn't find anything, either. This is an elegant picture. The hand seems very stylized. The proximal phalanx of the index finger is disproportionately long, the middle phalanx about right and the distal phalanx quite short. Artistic license is fine here.

Like this finger, to do a great photo like this we just need to press the button ... after analyse the better way to capture a good image.

I think this is one of your finest images. You have really got the focus of foreground spot on and the teasing image of just the hand a finger is inspired. I'm a huge myth and legend fan, so I'd be interested myself to find out more on this statue.
