View from BT Tower

Getting up the BT tower these days is pretty much by invitation only, but once you get here look at that view!! It's like coming into land in a plane, and look how tiny the Shard (Europe's tallest building) looks in the distance.  I got there by virtue of the launch of the new BT home hub 4 which promises super fast wifi ... yippee.  I'll report back next week when mine arrives.

A Different View

I love finding new rooftops to capture a London sky scape view.  This one was captured from the terrace of the new uber trendy cocktail bar of the ME hotel on the Strand.  I'll have to pop back for a night time view next time.

Shard Progress

On schedule to be completed in 2012 in time for the Olympics. I last showed you the Shard in March. I am looking forward to the viewing platform that will enable one to have a 360⁰ view stretching 40 miles. Just the weather to worry about to make that a reality.

Some Days are Just Grey

The London of its reputation. Some days are just like this so find a nice museum. Not a bad view though. Taken from the (grey) Lloyds building. The one that looks like giant cork screws and houses (or used to) loads of city bankers.
