Gruesome Discovery

More skeletons were unearthed today, bringing the total to eighteen so far. Excavation taking place as part of the new crossrail project has slowed work down as archaeologists are brought in to remove the bones.  They are believed to be victims of the black plague seven hundred years ago.
The area was always thought to be a burial ground and so has not been disturbed in seven centuries.   The fact that the skeletons are in perfect condition and are neatly laid out in rows has the archaeologists beside themselves.

Excavation continues carefully and slowly as it is believed there may be yet another layer of bodies under this latest find.

That is interesting to discover it in the middle of a city.

That is such an exciting albeit gruesome find. No wonder the archeologists are thrilled...seriously I think I missed my vocation, would be the most fascinating career oui!
P.s. something for you on my post tomorrow :)

That is very exciting indeed but a bit sad. Imagine coming to the worst of ends and being disturbed from your final resting place. This is the stuff zombie tales are made of.
